Dr. James Nyikal, the Permanent Secretary yesterday 27th January joined all heads of departments, units and sections during a Performance Appraisal Workshop organized by the Human Resources Management to guide the team on how to fill the annual Staff Performance Appraisal Report.
Dr. James Nyikal reiterated the need for team work in ministry adding that it was the only way that the ministry can provide efficient and effective services to the public
Mr. Ndirangu the Deputy Chief Economist introduced the topic of performance appraisals in relations to the ministry achieving the performance contract targets.
Giving a brief on the Vision 2030, she said that though the ministry’s mandate cuts across the three pillars of the vision, the ministry is mandated to fulfill programmes under the social pillar.
Mrs. Ndirangu Pointe out the linked between Vision 2030, Medium Term Plan, Strategic Plan, Annual Departmental Workplans, Performance Contracts, Individual Workplans and Individual Performance Targets. She added that all these strategies were critical in achieving the Vision.
The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Andrew Nakitare acting Deputy Director, Human Resources Management and Ruth Ruraa Human Resources Management Officer.
